Conditions of Sale
When purchasing a product from Dordogne Motorcycle Tours it is your responsibility to read and understand the terms and conditions.
Booking
In order to reserve your tour, a deposit stipulated in the tour pricing is payable (this is subject to change). In making a booking you guarantee full payment to us of the total tour value. We will email to you confirmation of your booking. The remaining balance outstanding must be paid no later than 60 days before the start of the tour (if this date has elapsed
In order to re then full payment is required when reserving your tour). If full settlement is not received by the due date we reserve the right to cancel the booking as per the cancellation clause. By paying a deposit it is deemed to be an acceptance of both the booking conditions and the terms and conditions of the tour. Tours may be cancelled if the minimum numbers are not met. A full refund will be given.
Deposits
All deposits are required per person and are listed on the relevent tour pages on our website. All deposits are NON REFUNDABLE.
Payment
Payments can be made by cheque, electronic transfer, credit/debit card or via Paypal. If you choose Paypal as your payment method we charge a surcharge of 4.5% to cover transaction costs. Please ensure you calculate the additional 4.5% and include it in your transfer. A booking is confirmed once cleared funds have been received. Balance of Payments Must be paid in FULL 60 days prior to the start date of the tour. Failure to receive successful payment at any stage may result in cancellation of your order.
Unless stated otherwise on the tour itinerary hotel accommodation, breakfast, route maps and ferry/tunnel crossings are all included and are based on 2 people sharing a room. If single occupancy is required or 1 person is travelling on a motorcycle then this may incur a surcharge. This will be confirmed at time of booking.
What’s excluded: Any add ons are not included, which include but are not limited to lunch, drinks, fuel, tolls, breakdown cover. It is your responsibility to pay for any additional costs incurred for any missed ferry/tunnel crossings due to your late arrival or any other pre-arranged third party carriage that is included in the tour.
Tour amendments
By us: Any amendments are unlikely. However due to the nature of having to book in advance with third parties, amendments are sometimes unavoidable. You will be notified as soon as possible. Examples of amendments are – ferry/tunnel times, routes, accommodation, tickets By you: We will endeavour to make any minor amendments. These must be notified to us as soon as possible. If we are able to accommodate the amendment there will be an administration fee of £35 per booking. If we feel the amendment is beyond minor, we will deem this as a cancellation made by you.
Cancellation
By you: You have the right to cancel your booking at any time within seven working days from the day after the date that you made the booking. If you cancel a tour you must notify us in writing by way of email or letter. A full refund of the deposit paid will be given. If the tour that you have booked takes place within the statutory seven days cooling off period, there will be no refund if you decide to cancel. After the statutory cooling off period, you will be liable to a cancellation charge. Cancellation charges and notice period:
All tickets, merchandise and event transport purchases purchased by us on your behalf are non-refundabe
The cancellation period will be calculated from the date we receive the written notice of the cancellation. By us: We reserve the right to cancel the tour under any circumstances. If an alternative tour is available, this will be offered. Otherwise you will be entitled to a full refund of all monies paid up to the time of cancellation. If the cancellation is due to reasons below (see termination by us/force majeure) we reserve the right to cancel your booking without refund of any monies received from you. We reserve the right to prohibit your participation in the tour if we become aware of any illegal, inappropriate or antisocial behaviour. If this condition is enforced you will not be entitled to any refund and we will not be held responsible for any additional costs that you may incur as a result of your termination. Third Party Cancellation: Events may be cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons, usually unknown or unpredictable. In this event we will not responsible for any such cancellations or postponements. In the very unlikely case that the entire event is cancelled, or for any other reason which is outside the control of either you or us, we will offer you an other tours. Should you noe accept you are entitled to a refund less 15% administration costs. We may, in our discretion, choose to lower the administration costs on a reasonable basis if the circumstances permit.
Tour Transfer
If You are prevented from travelling for any reason, You may transfer the booking to another person, providing that a minimum of 2 weeks notice is given. All amendments to the original booking (other than change of motorcycle details) will be subject to a £35 administration charge.
Force Majeure
Except where expressly stated in these terms, we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractural obligations is effected or prevented by, or otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of force majeure. This means any event which we or our suppliers could not forsee or avoid ie war, threat of war, riot, civil unrest, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire or similar events.
Legal compliance
It is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with each countries statutory laws and regulations, which include your regard to speed limits, your motorcycle being taxed, MOT’d and insured, driving under the influence, carrying of the required vehicle documentation and any necessary items, such as high visibility vests, spare bulbs, first aid kits, breathilizers etc. A full driving licence and valid passport is required.
There is to be no racing or competing. Dordogne Motorcycle Tours will not be responsible for any illegal or antisocial behaviour. You will indemnify Dordogne Motorcycle Tours in full, against any attempt by third parties to bring about any claim as a result of any breach by you of any laws or regulations during your participation on the tour.
Passports/Visas
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all members of their party are in possession of either a valid Passport or suitable travel document appropriate to country/countries being visited or transited during your trip with Toursareus Ltd. If you require visas or other in your party for the country/countries you are visiting you are reasonably expected to obtain the correct documentation before travelling.
Health
You must, if you are eligible, obtain the new European Health Insurance Card (replaces the old E111) via the internet or Post Office. This will cover the majority of medical fees in EC countries BUT NOT REPATRIATION COSTS for which You are strongly advised to take out separate Personal Cover Insurance.
None Disclosure
Non Disclosure of convictions or medical conditions may render the contract invalid between you the customer and Dordogne Motorcycle Tours or , and may result in the termination of your trip with Dordogne Motorcycle Tours with the loss of any monies paid, nor will any claim for consequential losses be accepted by Dordogne Motorcycle Tours due to such non-disclosure becoming apparent.
Full Disclosure
Dordogne Motorcycling Tours requires you to disclose any criminal convictions which may affect your entry to or from any country through which the tour may take you, non disclosure or false information may result in the termination or cancellation of your trip without a refund at anytime.
Travel
Prearranged events may be delayed for reasons out of our control. In the event of any travel delays both during and before the tour, whether forseen or not, can in no way be deemed to be our responsibility and therefore we will not be liable for any extra costs you may incur ie ferry/tunnel crossings, meals, accommodation These conditions apply regardless of how the delays were brought about ie adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, technical difficulties, industrial disputes.
Third party carriage
Any carriage by third party operators will be subject to the terms and conditions of the carriage supplier.
Travel insurance
It is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate travel insurance, including full repatriation in place for yourself, pillions, luggage and your motorcycle.. If you do not take out travel insurance you are responsible for the repatriation of your vehicle and you agree to indemnify us against any costs that you incur.
Pricing
Third party variation: We will endeavour to fix pricing with our suppliers wherever possible. If in the event we cannot there may be an additional cost to bear if suppliers increase their prices. Currency variations: The price of the tours are calculated at the rate of exchange against the £ at the time the tour is posted on the website. Government action – items such as levies or landing fees may alter without prior notice. In all the above cases Dordogne Motorcycle Tours will absorb any adverse cumulative cost increases up to 2% of the original drive price. Thereafter it will be your responsibility to pay any additional costs.
Images
In participating we reserve the right to take photographs and video footage of you and your property and you agree to allow Dordogne Motorcycle Tours to use these images for its website or other promotional purpose. You are entitled to take your own pictures and filming but in no way can these be marketed as Dordogne Motorcycle Tours.
Complaints
If you have a complaint either before or during the tour you must notify one of our representatives immediately in order that we can attend to your complaint as efficiently as possible. If upon returning home you are not satisfied with how your complaint was dealt with please notify us within 7 days from the end of the drive by letter or email.
Liability
Ours: We will endeavour to make sure that for all parts of the tour we have agreed to arrange, perform and provide as part of our contract with you, that they are done so with reasonable skill and care. In relation to the supply of goods and services we will not be liable for any injuries, liabilities, damages or other losses incurred by you or your property. Unless stated otherwise in these terms and conditions, our total liability to anyone lodging a claim in relation to our negligent act shall not exceed the cost of the tour incurred by that person. Third party: Those parts of the tour which involve utilising the services of third parties will be governed by the terms and conditions of each individual third party. Yours: You and the members of your party are responsible for all add on costs as described elsewhere within these terms and conditions, in addition to items such as fines, penalties, damages and other expenses incurred by you during the tour. If we are in anyway held accountable for such terms, you will indemnify us and promptly repay any amounts we pay on your behalf. In participating on a tour, you do so voluntarily and in the full knowledge that any accident, injury or other incident to you or third parties as a result of your actions is entirely your responsibility and liability and you therefore indemnify Dordogne Motorcycle Tours and its members and officers in full against any claim brought about by you, a member of your party or a third party. Safety is paramount on all our tours. Please ride in a manner which is both courteous and safe to all road users . We expect you to have good level of competency and be able to fully control your machine at all times. Full responsiblity must be taken for your machines mechanical condition.
Variations
Any variations or changes to the terms and conditions will be notified through the website.
Third Parties
Tours run in conjunction with a named third support are wholly controlled and run as Dordogne Motorctcle Tours and all appropriate terms and conditions apply between us and our customers booking on the drive. The third party promotion merely constitutes a voluntary support of the tour and does not from any part of the contract between Dordogne Motorcycle Tours and its customers.
Law
The contract between you and Dordogne Motorcycle Tours is governed by English law.

Dordogne Motorcycle Tours is in no way connected to Motogp or any of its subsiduary companies
Privacy
In order to process your booking we need to collect certain personal information which we need to pass on to certain third party suppliers ie hotels. We will not pass on your details to any other third party which is not required in order to process your booking. We will hold your details on file in order to notify you of any future events that we feel may be of interest to you. Please notify us if you would like to be removed from our mailing list.
Acceptance of terms and conditions
In booking a tour you are deemed to have read and fully accept the terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them in their entirety. A 25% deposit is required to secure your holiday. An email will be sent to you together with a reciept cofirming your chosen dates. Your deposit is non refundable. You will also recieve details of when your balance is due. We accept cheques or bank tranfers. Payment Balance The final payment for your holiday is non refundable and must be paid in full 8 weeks before the start date . Failure to send the final payment within the time period will be taken as cancellation of the holiday. In the event of having to cancel your holiday within the final 8 week period, we will accept transfer to another person only if the final payment has been paid. Insurance We recommend you take out personal holiday insurance to cover the possible cancelation of your holiday due to illness, unemployment etc. We also recommend motorcycle breakdown /recovery insurance that covers accident or breakdown together with repatriation. You must also carry a (EHIC) European Health Insurance Card which is free in the UK. Your Responsibilities Safety is paramount on all our tours. Please ride in a manner which is both courteous and safe to all road users . We expect you to have good level of competency and be able to fully control your machine at all times. Full responsiblity must be taken for your machines mechanical condition. We will not tolerate dangerous behavior and if given, please take any advice from your tour guide. Failure to do so may terminate your tour. We cannot be held responsible for diversions, roadworks, industrial action, terrorist attacks, acts of war or acts of god. |
