Day 1 | Calais to your meeting point Loire Valley - Early start at Folkstone, travel via Eurotunnel to Calais - bypass the industrial regions of France using motorway and non-motorway roads to the Loire valley where you will meet your guide and stay at your hotel in Azay-Le-Rideau just south of Tours. |

Day 2 | Azay-Le-Rideau to Peyrat Le Chateau - The true touring starts today travelling cross-country through the Limousin to our family run hotel in Treignac. Along the way you'll have a chance to visit Oradour-sur-Glane. This village was one of the greatest atrocities of the Second World War, when SS troops burned alive the entire population of the village in reprisal for French resistance. Today, the village remains much as it was back then and is well worth a visit. |

Day 3 | Payrat Le Chateau to Langogne- From Payrat we cross the upper Dordogne valley enjoying the spectaclar views as we ride the roads in the Volcano National Park of the Auvergne. Using the highest pass in the region we ride the roads of Puy Mary, the largest volcano in Europe. From there we drop down into the the Cantal & Haute-Loire regions and reach our overnight stop near Aubenas where we can discuss over a few beers the highlights of the day. Our hotel also has an indoor swimming pool. |

Day 4 | Langogne to Millau - After breakfast we ride the scenic route through the valley of the Ardèche and in particulary a 30km section known as the Ardèche Gorge with its limestone cliffs rising up to 300m high and famous for its 60m natural stone arch spanning the river known as Pont d'Arc. Heading south west we ride through the Cèvennes National Park and along the outstanding Tarn Gorge before arriving in Millau. |

Day 5 | Millau to Le Verdier - The sheer scale of the Millau Viaduct is incredible and after we've had a chance to look under it and ride over it we head north. Using the perfect tarmac of Lot Gorge we make our way through the Cantal and Lot departments and into the Dordogne and our home in Le Verdier which will be our base for the next two nights. On our way we can sample some of the excellent roads these regions have to offer and stop off at Rocamadour, one of the most stunning sites in France. A medieval village religious sanctuarie and village built into 150m meter high limestone cliffs overlooking the Alzou River Gorge. In the evening you can explore the beautiful medievil town of Sarlat, dine in one of the great restaurants or just sit outside one of the many bars and relax with a few cool beers or a bottle of the local Bergerac wine. |

Day 6 | Free Day- Today you have the opportunity to explore the region at your own pace. Our guide who has lived here for several years can advice you on the best places to visit and help you plan your day to make the most of the time you have. Maybe a visit to one of the a local Chateaux like Castelnaud, or the prehistoric cave dwellings of Les Eyzies or a canoe trip along the beautiful Dordogne river. Alternatively you can join an organised ride out showing the outstanding roads and the amazing sites of the Dordogne Valley. |

Day 7 | Le Verdier to Azay-Le-Rideau We head north on our return leg of our tour, using the roads through the Dordogne, Limousin and Loire regions and stop for lunch at one of the many towns on the way. |

Day 8 | Azay-Le-Rideau to Calais After an exceptional weeks touring we'll be sad to say goodbye and using the autoroutes you'll head off to Calais and catch the early evening Eurotunnel train home. |
